Ratings: NBC Tops With Slipping 'Voice' as ABC Wins in Total Viewers With 'Dancing'

NBC won Tuesday's ratings race with the lowest-rated Tuesday edition of "The Voice" this spring, while ABC won in total viewers with the lowest-rated "Dancing With the Stars" season finale to date, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC was first in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 with a 2.3 rating/7 share and second in total viewers with 7.8 million. At 8 p.m., the NBC News special "Destruction in Oklahoma" had a 2.0/6 and was the third-highest-rated show of the night. It was also third in total viewers with 8.2 million.

At 9, "The Voice" fell 11 percent from last week to a 3.1/9. That made it the lowest-rated Tuesday "Voice" of the spring, but still Tuesday's highest-rated show. It was second in total viewers with 10 million. The season finale of "Grimm" the following hour was steady since last week with a 1.7/5 and 5.2 million.

ABC was second in the demo with a 2.1/6 and a commanding first in total viewers with 11.5 million. At 8, the clip show "The Bachelor's Funniest Moments" had a 1.2/4 and 4.7 million. But at 9, the two-hour "Dancing" season finale grew dramatically over its lead-in, earning a 2.6/7 and 14.9 million total viewers. That made the episode, in which Kellie Pickler (pictured) was named the show's new champion, the second-highest rated and most watched program of the night.

But it was down 21 percent from from last spring's finale in the demo, and the show's lowest-rated season finale ever. The finale may be the last-ever Tuesday episode of "Dancing": ABC announced last week that it is trimming the two-night competition to one night, Monday, next season.

Fox was third in the ratings with a 1.9/6 and fourth in total viewers with 4.6 million. It aired "So You Can Dance" for its entire primetime slate, from 8 to 10. The series held steady in the demo since last week's premiere.

Univision was fourth in the demo with a 1.4/4 and fifth in total viewers with 3.5 million.

CBS, which aired all repeats, was fifth in the demo with a 1.3/4 and third in total viewers with 7.5 million.
