Which Rapper and 'Saturday Night Live' Alums Cameo in 'Anchorman' Sequel?

Now that the surprise has been ruined thanks to paparazzi stalking the set, TheWrap can report that Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Kanye West will all appear in cameos in Paramount's highly-anticipated sequel "Anchorman: The Legend Continues."

Fey and Poehler will appear in the film's climax, which will feature an all-out brawl between rival news crews similar to the scene that many fans consider the highlight of the original "Anchorman." West was spotted in Atlanta filming a scene with Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate.

After contacting Paramount and a representative for production companies Gary Sanchez Productions and Apatow Productions on April 23 regarding the three cameos, director Adam McKay issued an exclusive statement to TheWrap.

"I have seen a lot of of the reporting about our cameos and I must admit, you nailed it. I am sitting on set right now with Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicole Kidman and Cesar Romero, and we are having a blast," McKay joked in an email.

Romero, of course, played The Joker in the original "Batman" TV series and died in 1994. Kidman's cameo has been confirmed, while a representative for DiCaprio denied he would be appearing in the "Anchorman" sequel. The actor is currently busy doing press for "The Great Gatsby," which hits U.S. theaters on Friday before opening the Cannes Film Festival.

TheWrap was understandably conflicted about reporting on cameos meant to surprise the audience, but now that Fey, Poehler and West have been predictably photographed on set, the secret is out and their casting is fair game for publication.

As someone whose fondness for "Anchorman" has grown over the years, I look forward to seeing what other surprises McKay and Co. have in store for us.

Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Rudd and Applegate all return for "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," which arrives in theaters on Dec. 20 as a holiday gift to moviegoers of all religions.
