Producer Brian Robbins to Sell Encino Estate

Emmy-nominated film and TV writer-director-producer Brian Robbins (“The Royals,” “Awesomeness TV,” “Smallville”) put his gated, one-plus-acre estate in the leafy and affluent Royal Oaks neighborhood in Encino up for sale last month at a hair less than $6 million, and it’s already in escrow with an unknown buyer for an unspecified amount.

The former child actor — he appeared in loads of sitcoms, and co-starred for five seasons on the late-1980s series “Head of the Class” — acquired the restored, renovated and stylishly appointed 1950s post-and-beam residence in late 2010, per property records, for just about $4.17 million. The multilevel and multi-winged sprawler comes in at just under 7,100 square feet, per listing details, with five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, including a deluxe, celeb-worthy master retreat replete with fireplace, sitting area, private terrace, two enviably sized custom-fitted dressing rooms and a pair of gleaming bathrooms.

A glass-walled, step-down living room with fireplace and fully stocked built-in bar nestles below a lofty formal dining room. A glammy, professional screening room offers tiered seating for 10 on plush, tufted velvet sofas. The spacious kitchen opens to an informal dining space and a family room, where built-in bookshelves anchor one wall, and several banks of glass sliders open on one side to a courtyard garden, and on the other side to a dining veranda that overlooks the swimming pool. A detached guest house, sizable motor court and lighted tennis court complete the estate.
