Police Investigating Emile Hirsch for Alleged Assault at Sundance

Police are investigating actor Emile Hirsch’s involvement in the alleged assault of a female film executive.

The incident occurred Sunday at a Sundance Film Festival party held at Tao. Hirsch is at the Park City, Utah, gathering to promote his new coming-of-age drama “Ten Thousand Saints.”

“Currently, this is an active case that we’re still investigating,” Phil Kirk, a spokesman for the Park City Police Department, told Variety. “We’ll be submitting the case to the Summit County Attorney’s Office for screening as soon as we complete the investigation.”

Page Six first reported the news. The gossip page reported that the executive worked at Paramount Pictures. No arrests were made.

The incident reportedly took place after 3 a.m. Sunday. Hirsch was questioned by law enforcement officials at the Tao nightclub until 5 a.m.

Spokespeople for Paramount and for Hirsch did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
