New details surrounding Paul Walker's death on Saturday, following a fiery car crash, continue to surface.
On Monday, Jim Torp - who was in attendance at the weekend charity event for the late actor's Reach Out Worldwide organization which Walker and Roger Rodas also attended shortly before the tragic accident - spoke to Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Access Hollywood Live.
"I heard the accident. The car went past us. We were all there at the fundraiser for Paul Walker," Torp said.
Torp explained that he heard multiple booms after seeing the actor and Rodas drive past.
"My friend and I were comparing exhausts between the Porsche that they were driving and his Ferrari that he has. When the car went past us, we were talking about the sound of the car. Within a split second, we heard two loud crashes. We heard a boom, and then another louder boom," he recalled. "I looked at my friend Mitch, and I said, 'I think they were just in a car accident.' And he says, 'No way. No way.' I said, 'I think so.'"
Torp's son, Brandon, then sprang into action.
"So, I turned around, and I saw my son Brandon, who is friends with Paul Walker and Roger, and I said, 'Brandon, get a fire extinguisher and get up to the accident right away.' He goes, 'Why?' I said, 'Look up,' and there was smoke. So, my son took off and got up there," he continued.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said they believe speed was a factor in the one-car crash and when they arrived on the scene they found the red Porsche engulfed in flames.
Brandon attempted to put out the flames coming from the car, but it was too late.
"He tried to extinguish the car. It was a small flame when he got there. He put the fire extinguisher on and then the car blew up - within split seconds," Torp told Billy and Kit.
Torp shot down speculation that Walker and Rodas were seen speeding away from the event.
"Everybody [was] saying they sped out of the parking [lot.] That's not true. There were too many kids, women, children, walking around the event. So they had pulled out nice and easy," he said, but acknowledged he's not sure what transpired once they were away from the charity event.
"I'm not driver. I don't know what they did afterward," he continued. "But you can hear there were some RPMs going up when they had passed us."
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Walker was killed in Valencia, Calif. over the weekend. He was 40.
The car the actor and Rodas were in crashed into a light pole and a tree and then burst into flames.
Walker was on hand for a fundraiser benefiting victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines.
