Paradigm Signs Swedish Helmers Off Hot Short ‘Reset’
Paradigm emerged from a competitive situation by signing Markus Kryler & Fredrik Akerstrom, the Swedish writer-director team that made a splash on these shores with a short called Reset (watch it above). That short, unveiled here at Cannes, has studios and producers buzzing about its trippy story line and compelling visuals. These well-executed short films have become the best possible calling card for new talent to crack Hollywood. Jon Kanak is their manager. The duo hails from Stockholm. They began their careers as editors working on everything from features to television to music videos and commercials. Reset is their debut short film and it has created buzz at festivals. They’ve also got several potential projects they’re percolating to take out in the next year.
