Hugh Jackman has revealed that he’s up for playing his old friend Steve Irwin should the opportunity arise and now we really want to see a Crocodile Hunter biopic.

Watch our exclusive interview with Hugh below.

The star was in town to talk about his new movie ‘Pan’ (opening with limited previews on 10 and 11 October before a nationwide release on 16 October), when he revealed his special relationship with the departed wildlife star.

“I would definitely consider that [playing Steve Irwin in a biopic],” Jackman told us.

“I knew Steve, and Steve was an amazing, amazing man. I mean, everybody loved him but I had a relationship behind the camera with him, just a brief one, but that interaction really, really touched me.”

Steve’s daughter Bindi, who’s now 17, apparently wants Jackman to play her father who sadly died in 2006 in a blockbuster biopic, and Hugh’s chance encounter with the wildlife expert could just swing it for her.

Another part that Jackman’s associated with is, of course, Wolverine. A third solo ‘Wolverine’ movie - the last time Jackman will play the clawed suphero - is due to go into production for release in March, 2017 and the Aussie star says it will explore areas of Logan unseen in previous ‘X-Men’ outings. Hear what he has to say about ‘Wolverine 3′ below.

“I’m really excited about doing [’Wolverine 3′] and hopefully I’ll be fine with leaving the party when I leave [the role].”

“I’ve been doing it for a long time and I think there’s part of the character we haven’t done service to that I really want to get to.”

Finally, we spoke to the cast of ‘Pan’ including Rooney Mara and Garrett Hedlund about the parts of their childhoods they’re unwilling to give up and Hugh Jackman reveals the most illegal thing he’s ever done.
