Paltrow's Oscar Cape Explained!
Beyonce Is Too Busy For 'A Star Is Born'
Sure, Angie's leg and Ryan Seacrest's ashy tuxedo may have eclipsed the red carpet coverage of Gwyneth Paltrow's flowing white cape at the Academy Awards, however now that the dust has settled in the days since, we can turn focus back to the more important things -- Why the cape, Gwen?
"I saw a pic of Jackie O in a white dress with a cape and it's been a while since anyone's worn a cape except for Superman," reveals Paltrow on tomorrow's episode of The Chew. "I tried on one dress. That was the dress and I thought, 'it's a little different but it's sort of a throwback.' "
While Gwyneth says she had final say on her Oscar frock, she admits that her daughter Apple greatly influenced her decision to go all out with the Tom Ford number, explaining her young protégé wanted to create "a fashion moment" for her mama. "[Apple] weighs in very heavily," said Paltrow who has come to accept her daughter's input as she would her personal stylist.
Check out the sneak peek of Gwyneth's episode on PEOPLE. You can catch the full interview when it airs Friday, March 2 on ABC.
