NY State Extends Film Tax Credit, Budget Includes TV Incentives

New York has made it a lot easier for The Tonight Show to return to the Big Apple. The 2013-2014 budget given final approval by the Assembly late Thursday extends the state’s Film Tax Credit program through 2019 and expands it to include certain types of TV production. And it seems to be squarely aimed at luring Tonight back to NYC. An amendment to shoot down the TV tax incentive was debated but ultimately failed, Reuters reports. We’ll see what happens.
