Nelvana, Studio Moshi Turn 'The Day My Butt Went Psycho' Book Series Into Cartoon
TORONTO -- Andy Griffiths' popular children's book series The Day My Butt Went Psycho will be produced as an animated comedy series from Canadian cartoon factory Nelvana and Studio Moshi.
The Scholastic books will be turned into Zack & Deuce, a Canadian-Australian co-production of 26 half-hours to be shopped at MIPTV.
The 2D animated series for kids ages 6 to 11 portrays Zack and his best friend, Deuce, who happens to be his newly detached butt.
Zack & Deuce already has been sold to Canada's Teletoon and Australia’s Nine Network.
In some territories, including Australia, the series will be released as The Day My Butt Went Psycho.
Nelvana also will unveil the second season of Mike the Knight, a preschool series it co-produced with Hit Entertainment, at MIPTV.
