‘NBC Nightly News’ Logs Another Weekly Win

NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt clocked another win, with its biggest audience since March and hit a five-week high in the news demo thanks to its 5% gain versus same week last year.

Holt’s newscast clocked 8.6 million viewers, besting ABC World News with David Muir’s 8.5 million and CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley’s 7.2M In the news demo, Holt’s 2.04M edged out Muir’s 1.96M and Pelley’s 1.64M.

ABC notes its newscast is delivering its strongest total-viewer start to a season in a decade, but dropped 5% in the news demo.

CBS’s newscast posted the largest percentage gains in overall audience – 9%, aka 600K viewers) compared to same week last year.
