Nasim Pedrad To Create & Star In Comedy Project For Fox & 20th Century Fox TV

Nasim Pedrad is getting her own show. The Saturday Night Live alumna has closed a deal with 20th Century Fox TV and Fox to create and write a comedy project for her to star in. She also will executive produce the project, eyed for the next development cycle, with 3 Arts Entertainment.

Pedrad is already in the Fox family. This season, she co-starred on the Fox/Universal TV comedy series Mulaney. She is recurring on the Fox/20th TV comedy New Girl and a regular on the upcoming first installment of Fox/20th TV’s comedy-horror anthology series Scream Queens, from the Glee trio of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, which began shooting earlier this month in New Orleans.

Nasim’s an undeniable creative force in front of the camera and a brilliant writer/producer behind the camera,” said 20th TV president of creative affairs Jonnie Davis. Added Fox entertainment president David Madden, “With her role on Scream Queens and the ideas she’s already bringing to the table for development, we are so excited for her to be an even bigger part of the Fox family this year.”

Pedrad is repped by CAA, 3 Arts and Warren Dern.
