Mireille Enos And Scott Speedman Join Ryan Reynolds In ‘Queen Of The Night’

EXCLUSIVE: Mireille Enos and Scott Speedman have been set to star alongside Ryan Reynolds in Queen Of The Night, a psychological thriller that Atom Egoyan will direct early next year in Ontario. Egoyan wrote the story and scripted the film with David Fraser. Reynolds committed in August to play a father who discovers a series of disturbing clues eight years after his daughter is abducted, a trail that leads him to believe the now 17-year-old girl is alive.

Enos will play his wife, who dutifully checks in with police each year on her daughter’s birthday, and realizes that disturbing memorabilia left at her workplace is not merely there to taunt her but could offer clues to her daughter’s whereabouts. Enos was drafted for the role by Egoyan after she played a small role in Devil’s Knot, the film he just completed about the bogus triple murder conviction of the West Memphis 3 in Arkansas, despite the lack of any physical evidence.

Speedman is also reuniting with Egoyan. In Queen Of The Night, he will play the cop searching the his missing daughter. Speedman previously worked with Egoyan on the film Adoration. He is coming off the ABC series Last Resort and stars opposite Evan Rachel Wood in the upcoming feature Barefoot.

Enos, whose breakout came in The Killing, will next be seen in the Ruben Fleischer-directed Gangster Squad opposite Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin, and stars opposite Brad Pitt in the Marc Forster-directed zombie epic World War Z, which Paramount releases next summer. She’s repped by CAA, Gartner/Green Entertainment and attorney Mitch Smelkinson. Speedman is repped by WME, Circle Of Confusion and the Gary Goddard Agency in Canada.
