New photos from the Fox-turned-Hulu comedy’s fourth season premiere (Sept. 15) have hit the web, giving us our first look at the Sliding Doors-inspired episode. (And no, your eyes aren’t deceiving you; there is a photo of Mindy and JGL at the scene of Danny’s iconic plane butt-grab.)
“We explore what it would be like if [Mindy had] never fallen in love with Danny,” Mindy Kaling told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour last month. “[Gordon-Levitt] plays a reality TV producer who’s best friends with Andy Cohen. He’s the man of Mindy’s dreams, his apartment’s in Gramercy Park. … It was very fun to use him as a character who seems ideal, but then goes in a very surprising direction.”
Additional Season 4 newcomers include Ajay Mehta (Royal Pains) and Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards) as Mindy’s parents and Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings) as a yet-unknown character with ties to Ike Barinholtz’s Morgan.
