Michael Chiklis Joins Noomi Rapace in Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Rupture’

Michael Chiklis will star opposite Noomi Rapace in the science-fiction thriller “Rupture,” set up with “America Sniper” producer Andrew Lazar.

Rapace stars as a single mother who’s abducted by a mysterious organization and tied up in their laboratory. Chiklis will play the organization’s point man who directs the crime.

Principal photography begins next month with Steven Shainberg directing from Brian Nelson’s script. Shainberg’s credits include “Secretary,” “Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus” and “Hit Me.”

Tango Pictures, a partnership between Christina Weiss Lurie, Shainberg and Lazar, is teaming with Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s Ambi Group to make the film. Lazar came on to the project in April.

Chiklis starred in “The Commish,” “The Shield,” “Vegas” and “American Horror Story” for its fourth season. He is repped by WME and Management 360.
