Metascore Predictions for Summer Movies

The results are in ...

Earlier this month, we asked our users to predict the final Metascores for 30 of this summer's most notable releases (not including a few films, like Spy and Trainwreck, that already had early Metascores). Now that voting has closed, and the nearly 1,600 contributions have been tabulated, we reveal the aggregate results of these predictions below.

Of course, our user predictions haven't exactly been on the money in past years. (View results for 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010.) Last year, our users overestimated the scores for two-thirds of the films, and on average the consensus predictions were over 9 points off from the actual final scores. We'll post the final results of this year's predictions just after Labor Day weekend.
