Melina Kanakaredes To Topline & Produce Drama Series For Dynamic Television

CSI: NY alumna Melina Kanakaredes is attached to star in a new drama series project, which she also is co-

writing and executive producing with Immortals scribes Vlas and Charlie Parlapanides. The series, Stolen For Good, is for indie production company Dynamic Television.

The project, which has Saving Grace creator Nancy Miller on board as executive producer/showrunner, centers on the mysterious “Hermes Thief” (Kanakaredes), a renowned international thief whose true identity is unknown. In a world where nothing is as it seems, she rights the wrongs of the past by retrieving stolen priceless items and returning them to their rightful owners. She blazes a trail of powerful enemies, from private collectors to ISIS, fearlessly stealing from anyone anywhere.

In addition to her acting career — Kanakaredes starred on CBS’ CSI:NY from 2004-2010 — she also has been writing and sold her first pilot script to CBS in 2005. She also wrote for CSI:NY and has developed several projects in partnership with Miller. The two met on the 1997 series Leaving LA, which Miller created and in which Kanakaredes starred.

As an actress, Kanakaredes, repped by UTA and Untitled, is doing a guest arc on CBS’ summer drama series Extant starring Halle Berry. Miller is writing a miniseries for OWN.

Launched in 2013 by Daniel March, LA-based Dynamic Television, repped by WME, has been building its operation, last year bringing in Borgias producer Klaus Zimmermann as Managing Partner. The two also executive produce Stolen for Good.

Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, repped by WME, Circle of Confusion and attorney Jeff Frankel, are currently writing the Immortals sequel. They also co-wrote spec Zero Footprint, about the Benghazi attack, which was acquired by Alcon, and are co-writing a Navy SEAL feature script for Warner Bros. and the team behind American Sniper. They previously wrote, directed and produced indie comedy Everything For A Reason, which was acquired by The Shooting Gallery.
