Marvel Taps Craig Kyle to Co-Write ‘Thor 3′ with Christopher Yost

Marvel Studios has tapped Craig Kyle to co-pen the third installment in the “Thor” franchise with Christopher Yost.

Chris Hemsworth is expected to return in the title role. Kevin Feige will produce.

Plot details are unknown at this time.

Kyle most recently served as senior VP of production and development at Marvel Studios. Yost’s other credit includes doing a polish on “Thor: The Dark World.”

“I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years,” Feige said. “His creative instincts have helped shape “Thor” and “Thor: The Dark World” at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor’s adventure.”

Marvel is moving quickly to build ups it Phase 3 release slate with Variety first reporting that the studio is in early talks with Anthony and Joe Russo to return as directors of the third “Captain America.”

Kyle is repped by CAA. Yost is represented by Verve and Industry Entertainment.
