Marie Osmond's Talk Show Canceled by Hallmark

Marie Osmond's Hallmark Channel talk show has been canceled, the channel announced on Tuesday, but "Marie" will live on in syndication.

Hallmark decided not to renew "Marie" for a second season, saying in a statement that it was transitioning to a "much more diversified portfolio of family friendly entertainment."

It said that, "as the network examined and explored its work in daytime, we determined that the best direction for this daypart is to offer quintessential lifestyle service shows."

All is not lost for "Marie" fans, however; there are at least a few more new installments coming up on Hallmark. Next week's guests include Buzz Aldrin, Ricky Schroder and Judy Blume.

Associated Television International, which produces 'Marie,' told TheWrap it plans to offer the show in syndication beginning in fall 2014.

In a statement, ATI president Jim Romanovich thanked Hallmark for giving audiences an "initial exposure" to "Marie," calling the channel a "perfect launching ground."

"Marie" premiered on Oct. 1, 2012.
