New ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer Zeroes in on Zod
Warner Bros. keeps the marketing machine humming this evening in the run-up to the “Man of Steel” release with a new trailer, this one focused on the villain. And why not when you’ve got a scenery-chewing turn by pro baddie Michael Shannon.

The “Fate of Your Planet” trailer is a sinister slice of cinema to serve up from the studio, which knows all too well that you don’t have a good superhero flick without a great arch enemy. While past teasers and trailers for “Man of Steel” have played heavy on nostalgia and emotion, this one strikes a very different chord more likely to resonate with younger viewers.
“Fate” comes just days after Warner Bros. began issuing posters highlighting the individual characters from the film, beginning with Jor-El, played by Russell Crowe.
