'Liz & Dick' Scores Decent 3.5 Million Viewers for Lifetime

"Liz & Dick," the Lindsay Lohan-starring biopic of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor, might have been slammed by the general public, but it pulled in decent numbers for Lifetime.

Sunday's airing of the biopic pulled in 3.5 million total viewers, the network said Monday.

Movie Starring Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler Ranks as 2012's Fourth Most-Watched Original Movie Premiere

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 26, 2012) – The Lifetime Original Movie Liz & Dick, starring Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor and Grant Bowler as Richard Burton, averaged 3.5 million Total Viewers in its world premiere last night, according to Nielsen Research. Based on the true story of the iconic couple's passionate and tumultuous love affair, the film averaged 1.3 million Adults 25-54 viewers, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 viewers, 1.1 million Women 18-49 viewers and 1.0 million Women 25-54 viewers, with a 2.8 Household rating.

Liz & Dick ranks as 2012's fourth most-watched original movie premiere on ad-supported cable among all key demographics, including Total Viewers, Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, behind Lifetime's Steel Magnolias, Drew Peterson: Untouchable and Abducted: The Carlina White Story (excluding miniseries).

Versus 2012 to-date Lifetime original movies, Liz & Dick was up by double-digit margins across the board, including +40% among Total Viewers, +52% in Women 18-49, +41% with Adults 18-49, +22% in Women 25-54 and +18% among Adults 25-54.
