Legendary Inks Office Deal to Leave Warner Bros. Lot (Exclusive)

It's Official: Legendary Signs Deal With UniversalIt's Official: Legendary Signs Deal With Universal

Legendary Entertainment has taken another key step in its divorce from Warner Bros. — it's moving out.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the Thomas Tull-led studio behind Pacific Rim, 42 and other Warners-released films has inked a deal for new office space in Burbank at The Pointe, a three-acre complex located a stone's throw from the studio Legendary called home for eight years. Legendary currently occupies plush offices in building 76 on the Warners lot.

Legendary and Warner Bros. are ending their partnership as Tull transitions to a deal at Universal, which will release Legendary films for the next few years. As THR has reported, Legendary and Warners have been busy divvying up projects that were developed during the partnership.

The Pointe, a LEED Gold-certified, 14-story office tower, is near NBCUniversal's west coast headquarters, as well as Disney and a slew of other Hollywood companies. Building-mates will include KCET-TV, which signed an 11-year-deal for 55,000-square-feet in the office tower last year after having sold its landmark Hollywood Studio to the Church of Scientology in 2011.

Also located in The Pointe — perhaps ironically — is Warner Bros.-owned DC Comics, which is two years into its decade-long lease of 35,000-square-feet of office space.
