Lauren Conrad Adds Pacific Palisades to Her Portfolio

In case any of ya’ll don’t already know it, 29-year-old reality television pioneer Lauren Conrad of “The Hills” is a budding SoCal real estate mogul who — so swears good ol’ real estate yenta Yolanda Yakkettyyak — has surreptitiously, via trust, added to her rapidly expanding collection of multimillion-dollar residences with the $4.4 million acquisition of a large home in the ritzy if somewhat geographically removed Highlands section of Pacific Palisades.

Listing details show the 11-year-old mock-Mediterranean-style mini-mansion sits on nearly 1.5 acres in a discreet — and discrete — guard-gated enclave that backs up to the Santa Monica Mountains. At almost 5,900 square feet, the five bedroom and 5.5 bathroom abode has a turreted entry, formal living and dining rooms, the former with carved stone fireplace and beamed ceiling. A cook-friendly kitchen has a center-island snack bar and an informal dining area, and the adjoining family room features a vaulted and beamed ceiling. French doors open the house to a flat yard with large lawn, built-in barbecue, flagstone terracing and a freeform swimming pool with spa, waterfall and integrated slide. The property was represented by Michael Edlen at Coldwell Banker.

Conrad, also a bestselling author and retail entrepreneur, newly married to musician and recent law school graduate William Tell, maintains a $20 million real estate portfolio that includes a couple of high-priced homes in her hometown of Laguna Beach — one purchased in 2009 for $2 million, and the other a bluff-top number with spectacular coastline views, picked up early last year for $8.5 million. Our research indicates she also continues to own a three bedroom and four bathroom duplex penthouse in Beverly Hills bought in the spring of 2012 for $1.35 million, as well as a 4,300-ish square-foot house in Brentwood procured in April 2013 for a hair more than $3.65 million.
