Jessica Rovins Moves to Paramount TV as EVP of Communications

Paramount Television has named Jessica Rovins its new exec vice president of communications, Variety has learned.

Rovins is currently senior vice president of publicity at Paramount Pictures and will stay on to oversee coverage of upcoming summer releases “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” and “Terminator Genisys” before transitioning into her new role. She will report to Paramount TV president Amy Powell.

“I have had the privilege to work with Jessica for many years now and am thrilled that she will be joining our team as we continue to grow our portfolio,” said Powell. “She is valued by both the media and our creative partners as a strategic and talented executive, and I know she will play a critical role in shaping the television studio and our story going forward.”

The announcement comes while Paramount TV has five high-profile upcoming projects: “Minority Report” and “Grease Live” (Fox), “Berlin Station” (Epix), “School of Rock” (Nickelodeon) and “The Alienist” (TNT).

“It’s an exciting time for Paramount Television as they continue to create original ideas and leverage our studio’s rich legacy to create high-quality and talent-driven programming, and I want to thank Brad, Rob and Amy for giving me this opportunity to help support and grow our television business,” said Rovins.

At Paramount Pictures, Rovins worked on campaigns for films including “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “The Fighter.” She also served as SVP of Miramax, where her resume includes campaigns for the “Spy Kids” and “Scary Movie” franchises and the “Kill Bill” movies.
