James Franco and Lindsay Lohan used to be friends - and only friends!
According to the actor, he shot down Lindsay Lohan's advances years back.
"You turned down sex with Lindsay Lohan, didn't you?" Howard Stern asked the actor on his SiriusXM show on Monday. "Back then when she was a lot hotter?"
"Oh, gosh. Poor Lindsay," James said. "I haven't talked to her in a while. . . We were friends."
The "Oz the Great and Powerful" star told Howard that they met thought mutual friends while James was staying at one of Lindsay's favorite Hollywood haunts.
"My house in LA was being redone, so I did this thing where I just stayed at [Chateau Marmont], and she had been living there for a couple years," the actor explained.
"And you turned her down sexually?" the shock jock pressed.
"I mean, I don't want to brag about it," James said. "I don't know how that got out."
According to James, he felt like Lindsay's personal troubles would have gotten in the way.
"[She] was having issues even then, so you feel weird," he said of the actress, who is headed to rehab for a 90 day stint. "Honestly, she was a friend. I've met a lot of people that are troubled and sometimes you don't want to do that."
As for James' current love life, it appears he has his sights set on settling down.
"Let's say I'm dating," he told Howard. "I'm getting older. I would like a long-term relationship."
