IM Global Adds Output Deals In Germany, Russia/Eastern Europe, Latin America

IM Global has locked down further key territories for its stable of offshore output deals, bringing to 130 the number of countries where it has guaranteed distribution for its bigger films. RTL’s Universum has made a multi-year, multi-picture commitment for distribution rights in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on higher budget films financed or co-financed by the Reliance-backed indie. The pact was sealed at last month’s European Film Market where IM Global’s Blood Sisters: Vampire Academy was one of the hotter titles.

The company also signed with Top Film for Russia, CIS and the Baltic States along with Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic and ex-Yugoslavia. In Latin America, Sun Distribution will now release IM Global titles across Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. IM Global also has existing deals with Buena Vista International in several Asian territories; Reliance for India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and eOne for the UK, Canada and Spain — an arrangement that was assumed by eOne after it acquired Alliance Films.
