Hot Trailer: ‘The Host’
A day after the final installment of her Twilight films had its world premiere, Stephenie Meyer‘s next book-turned-movie dropped its trailer. The sci-fi pic The Host stars Saoirse Ronan as one of the last humans on Earth trying to resist an alien invasion. When an alien parasite is injected into her, it becomes obsessed with her memories and free will. Diane Kruger, Max Irons and Jake Abel co-star. Scenes from the movie were shown at Comic-Con during Summit’s Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2 panel in July, a play for those dedicated Twi-hards to follow Meyer to her follow-up movie. The author has published one novel for The Host, but it’s believed she’s written the next two installments of a trilogy. Andrew Niccol directed Host, which Open Road releases March 29, 2013.
