Hillary Clinton Back In L.A. This Month For Michael Lombardo Hosted Fundraiser

Less than two months after her last stop at the Hollywood ATM and not even a week after she officially kicks off her campaign in NYC, the former and potentially future occupant of the White House is coming out West for more cash. Hillary Clinton will be in L.A. on June 19 for a $2,700 per single tix fundraiser at the home of HBO’s president of programming Michael Lombardo and his partner Sonny Ward.

The HBO exec and long time supporter of the Democrats’ pad will not be the only Tinseltown money stop for the former Secretary of State later this month. The ex-New York Senator also will attend an evening fundraiser at Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer’s home. Jennifer is of course the daughter of NBCUniversal Vice Chairman Ron Meyer from his first marriage. The ex-CAA bigwig and Universal Studios CEO is, with his wife Kelly, a big Democratic backer and one of the major bundlers for Barack Obama’s reelection in 2012. The $2,700 per person price tag of all of Clinton’s June 19 events is the maximum an individual can contribute in the primary phase of the 2016 Presidential campaign.

Clinton’s visit, which also includes a fundraiser at the house of Westfield Corp’s co-CEO too, falls the very day after President Obama is in town for a $2,500 a tix minimum DNC fundraiser at Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills place. As good at getting cash out of Hollywood as the 44th POTUS is, he might find himself coming up short behind the would-be 45th POTUS – Clinton’s May 7 L.A. fundraisers raked in nearly $3 million.

The news of Clinton’s latest fundraising trip out to L.A. was first reported by Variety.
