'The Great Gatsby' Review Preview: TheWrap Critic Alonso Duralde Takes on Baz Luhrmann's Latest (Video)

With Baz Luhrmann's latest extravaganza about to hit theaters, Wrap critic Alonso Duralde looks at the Australian filmmaker's career, tracing his work from "Strictly Ballroom" in 1992 to "The Great Gatsby."

Luhrmann's "trademark crazy visuals" were there from the start, Duralde says. The critic believes that his distinctive style gets in the way of the F. Scott Fitzgerald's story, however.
