Glitch or Unbelievable Deal? Apple iTunes Offers All Eight ‘Harry Potter’ Movies for $10

Apple on Tuesday launched what appeared to be eye-popping bargains on digital movie bundles — including all eight of Warner Bros.’s ”Harry Potter” pics for just $9.99 — before the company raised the pricing on many of them.

Apple did not respond to a request for comment. It’s not immediately clear whether the cut-rate iTunes movie bundles were extremely limited-time offers, or whether the pricing was made in error.

The special iTunes movie-bundle pricing was posted by blog site 9to5mac.com. As of Tuesday noon Eastern, pricing for the eight-movie “Harry Potter” digital bundle in HD was reset to $59.99 — still about 50% discounted from the $125.92 regular pricing.

Other movie collections Apple had offered for $9.99 — before raising the pricing — included “The Lord of the Rings,” “The Matrix” and “Austin Powers” trilogies, now each offered for $17.99. The four “Lethal Weapon” pics, which had carried the $9.99 price tag, are now $19.99 in a bundle.
