‘Gamers Guide To Pretty Much Everything’ Best Series Debut In Disney XD History With Boys 6-11
The premiere of Disney XD’s Gamer’s Guide To Pretty Much Everything became the network’s No. 1 series debut in the network’s 15-plus-year history (including Toon Disney days) with Live + 3 Day ratings, in boys 6-11 (398,000/3.3 rating). In boys 2-11, it was No. 2 (442,000/2.2 rating), behind only the 2012 launch of Lab Rats.
Gamer’s Guide opener was the network’s third best live-action launch of all time in total viewers (976,000), kids 6-11 (522,000/2.2 rating) and kids 2-11 (583,000/1.5 rating). Overall, it was the network’s fifth biggest launch ever in overall audience. Gamer’s Guide won its half hour among boys 2-11 and boys 6-11 and came in No. 2 in kids 2-11 and kids 6-11.
In L+3 ratings, Gamer’s Guide grew from Live + Same Day ratings by 9% in total viewers (976,000 vs. 898,000), 10% in 6-11, (522,000 vs. 473,000) and 9% in 2-11 (583,000 vs. 534,000).
Gamer’s Guide stars Jessie alum Cameron Boyce, a professional video game phenom compelled to enroll in public school.
The premiere immediately followed a one-hour Lab Rats: Bionic Island and Mighty Med crossover episode. The premiere of Lab Rats vs. Mighty Med ranked No. 1 in the hour across kids 6-11 (589,000/2.5 rating), boys 6-11 (370,000/3.1 rating), kids 2-11 (658,000/1.7 rating) and boys 2-11 (420,000/2.1 rating) demographics and was the No. 3 original scripted cable TV series telecast in total viewers (1.247 million). Lab Rats vs. Mighty Med delivered a 1-year Lab Rats high in total viewers and was the series’ highest-rated telecast in nearly six months across kids 6-11, boys 6-11, kids 2-11 and boys 2-11.
Meanwhile, the special stood as Mighty Med’s No. 1 telecast of all time in total viewers and was its No. 2 telecast on record in 6-11 and 2-11.
