Former ‘Criminal Minds’ EP Janine Sherman Barrois Inks Warner Bros TV Deal

EXCLUSIVE: Former Criminal Minds executive producer/writer Janine Sherman Barrois has signed a new multi-year overall deal at Warner Bros. Television. Under the new pact, she will create and develop new drama and comedy series. The onetime ER executive producer is returning to WBTV where she was a graduate of the Warner Bros. Writers’ Workshop, which launched her run writing for comedies like The Jamie Foxx Show and The PJs before shifting to the drama side with a run as a co-exec producer on Third Watch.

The new deal follows one Barrois inked in 2013 at ABC Studios, the studio behind veteran CBS drama Criminal Minds. She had been on that show since 2010 as a writer/EP. She also is active as a judge for the WGA’s Writers Access Project to identify diversity writers.

She is repped by WME and Felker Toczek.
