First ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Poster Highlights Past and Present Actors

After blowing the top off of Hall H during its Comic-Con panel on Saturday, Fox has now revealed its first posters for “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

There are two posters, one featuring the melding of actors Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender’s faces into the villain Magneto’s, and the other doing the same with Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy’s into Professor Xavier.

Even though the last film was a prequel that — aside from a few cameos — didn’t star any of the original actors from the first three films, Fox’s marketing campaign wants to make it clear that the upcoming movie features casts from both franchises.

Also of note: Despite Professor X’s trademark bald head, not only does McAvoy have hair in this film, but it appears to be longer than the 2011 installment, “X-Men: First Class.”

This pic bows on May 23, 2014.
