First Look at Jean Grey and Jubilee in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

Director Bryan Singer has given fans their first look at Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey and Lana Condor as Jubilee in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” the latest installment in Fox’s lucrative superhero franchise.

“Game of Thrones” star Turner and newcomer Condor look decidedly retro in the new photo, which makes sense, considering the film is set in the 1980s.

The film also stars James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), and Nicholas Hoult (Beast), with a number of other stars reprising their roles, including Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), Evan Peters (Quicksilver) and Lucas Till (Havok). Fellow newcomers joining Turner and Condor include Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Ben Hardy (Angel) and Oscar Isaac as the titular antagonist.

Simon Kinberg penned the script from a story by Kinberg, Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris.

Singer recently posted two set photos to illustrate the film’s nostalgic setting — a video game arcade and movie theater marquee touting “Return of the Jedi,” placing the timeframe around 1983.
