Emmys 2015: Louis J Horvitz Back To Direct Fox Telecast

Louis J. Horvitz will return to direct his 17th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 20, the TV Academy said today in announcing the production staff for the Fox broadcast. Danette Herman is also back for a 26th year with the Emmy telecast as co-producer for Don Mischer Productions, which has set Mischer, Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare as executive producers. Bob Dickinson (Peter Pan Live!) is also returning as lighting designer for the live telecast.

Newcomer Baz Halpin has been tapped as production designer after he was creative director for Katy Perry’s Super Bowl Halftime Show this year. Tamlyn Wright is co-designer.

Horvitz has won seven Emmys for his work directing 12 Oscar telecasts and most recently helmed the Golden Globes, the Grammys and the Billboard Music Awards.
