Duchess Street Productions Taps Miriam Brent As Script Exec

Duchess Street Productions has appointed former Raw TV development editor Miriam Brent as script executive. Brent will now help to develop Duchess Street’s slate of high-end, original drama and dramatic adaptations. She will also provide editorial guidance and support on existing projects. Brent officially joins the company, which is part of the Bob & Co family, on Monday and will work alongside Development Producer Jo Roderick.

Prior to joining Duchess Street, Brent was Development Editor at Raw TV. She joined the company in 2012 to launch its drama division, and has since helped to develop a diverse slate of UK and US projects. They include Discovery’s new scripted miniseries on the origins of Harley-Davidson and the upcoming feature film from Bafta-winning director Bart Layton, American Animals.

Brent started her career in film and TV as a runner on the BBC’s Desperate Romantics. She went on to complete an NFTS diploma in Script Development before establishing herself as a script reader for companies such as Working Title TV, Origin Pictures and Pathé.
