‘Dope’ Co-Star Kiersey Clemons Signs With UTA

EXCLUSIVE: Kiersey Clemons, who stars alongside Shameik Moore and Tony Revolori in this year’s Sundance Film Festival darling Dope, has signed with UTA. Rick Famuyiwa’s feature was the focus of one of Park City’s biggest bidding battles in January — it landed with Open Road and Sony for a $7 million in minimum guarantee with a $15 million P&A. The pic opened two weeks ago wide against biggies Jurassic World and Inside Out and has grossed $11.8M domestically to date.

She joins Revolori, also a UTA client.

Clemons’ hot streak includes returning to her recurring role of Bianca on Amazon’s Transparent, and she will appear opposite Halle Berry this summer on Season 2 of CBS’ Extant. Clemons continues to be managed by Starr Andreeff of MJMG and Eddie Galan of Mach 1 Management.
