Donald Trump, ‘Modern Family’ Writer Clash on Twitter

While most of Hollywood is shut down for the Memorial Day weekend, Donald Trump and an Emmy-winning writer/producer on “Modern Family” are staying plenty busy on Twitter.

Danny Zuker, who also serves an exec producer on the hit ABC series, is one of TV’s most active creatives in the social media world and regularly takes shots at NBC’s “The Apprentice” and its over-zealous host (“Donald Trump hasn’t tweeted in almost 24 hours. I do hope something’s wrong.” Zuker recently wrote).

But now The Donald is fighting back.

“I never heard of Danny Zuker until his very dumb and endless tweets started pouring out of (his) insecure mind,” Trump tweeted Friday. He later defended “The Apprentice’s” ratings, saying “I know you don’t like to hear this Danny Zuker but the biggest nights of The Apprentice were far “bigger” than the biggest nights of Modern family.”

To which Zucker responded: “I just talked to an un named human decency pro and he said you were a narcissistic hateful uninformed ass clown.”

“Modern Family” creator Steve Levitan tried to put out the fire by saying “Calm down…I know several people dumber than him” but later deleted his tweet.
