Disney’s animated hit “Frozen” is going to China.

The studio said Sunday that China Film Group, the government agency and gatekeeper for non-domestic films looking for a shot at the world’s second-largest movie market, had indicated it would allow a 2014 release for Disney Animation’s 3D family film. No date has been set.

It was great weekend overall for “Frozen,” especially overseas, where it brought in $35 million from 33 markets in its fourth week. Included was a No. 1 debut in Mexico, where its $5.5 million opening weekend nearly doubled that of another Disney animated hit, “Tangled.”

The top markets for “Frozen” so far include Germany ($26.4 million), the U.K. ($26.3 million), France ($21.2 million), Russia ($19.6 million) and Spain ($12 million.)

The international haul for “Frozen” is up to $152.6 million and its global total, including a $19.1 million fifth week in the U.S., stands at $344.1 million.
