DGA Honors: Ron Howard, Tyler Perry & More Set

The DGA today has unveiled the four recipients to receive special recognition at the 2015 DGA Honors, the annual gala set for October 15 at the DGA Theater in New York. The honorees include Ron Howard, Teamsters Local 817 president Thomas J. O’Donnell, Tyler Perry, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and longtime Scorsese film editor Thelma Schoonmaker. Howard and Perry will be recognized for their vast contribution to film and television, O’Donnell for his efforts in labor rights and production in New York, Schumer for his involvement in job creation and other issues pertinent to those working in the film and tv business, and Schoonmaker for her trailblazing work in editing.
