Dan Petrie Jr. to Direct ‘Dawn Patrol’

Dan Petrie Jr. is set to direct indie drama “Dawn Patrol” with Scott Eastwood and Jeff Fahey starring.

Project was announced at Cannes, where Red Sea Media is handling international sales. Petrie will produce with Rick Dugdale through their Enderby Entertainment banner along with Eastwood.

Lensing will take place in Ventura County north of Los Angeles in June. Story follows a surfer who joins the Marines to escape after killing the wrong man in an attempt to avenge his brother’s murder.

Script is by Rachel Long and Brian Pittman. Jonathan Hendrickson and Tim Williams will exec produce.

Petrie is repped by APA, Field Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush & Kaller.
