Chris Evans Takes on First Directing Job With ’1:30 Train’

In his first feature directing gig, “Captain America” and “Avengers” star Chris Evans has come on board to direct, produce and star in romancer “1:30 Train.”

McG’s Wonderland Sound And Vision is financing. Besides Evans, other producers are Mark Kassen, Howard and Karen Baldwin, Bill Immerman and Wonderland’s McG and Mary Viola.

CAA is representing domestic rights.

Producers plan to shoot “1:30 Train” in the fall. The script, written by Ron Bass and Jen Smolka, centers on the aftermath of a relationship between two strangers who meet in Manhattan and spend a night together.

Evans worked with Wonderland on “A Many Splintered Thing.” He stars in “Snowpiercer,” which opens this weekend, and will be seen in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” next year.
