CAA Promotes 3 to Agent (Exclusive)

[Update 11:45 a.m.: CAA has promoted three more agents. Jessica Graboff has been promoted to agent in the commercial endorsements department. Jesse Adler has been promoted to executive in CAA Sports' consulting department after serving as its coordinator, while Brendan Shields-Shimizu has been promoted to executive at CAA Marketing after serving as the coordinator of the department.]

CAA has three new agents — Ryan Abboushi, Matt Martin and Jon Teiber, TheWrap has learned.

All three have paid their dues, having risen through the ranks at CAA, which has a good track record of promoting talent from within.

Martin previously served as a coordinator in CAA’s motion picture literary department, where he is now an agent. Abboushi has been promoted to agent in CAA’s comedy department, while Teiber has been promoted to agent in CAA’s motion picture talent department.

Abboushi, Martin and Teiber follow in the footsteps of successful internal hires who came before them. Savvy young agents John Garvey and Charlie Jennings, who like Martin and Teiber are considered rising stars at CAA and make deals in their respective departments, also worked their way up the agency’s ranks.

Aboushi joins CAA’s comedy department, whose clients Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney just landed on “Saturday Night Live.”
