After being hospitalized in Florida with a case of the flu, Burt Reynolds was transferred to the intensive care unit Friday after doctors realized the virus was becoming more severe than average.

The Boogie Nights star, 76, was moved after doctors noted that he was suffering from severe dehydration, according to his rep. Luckily, it looks as though Reynolds is making a full recovery. "He is doing better," his rep told E! News on Friday. "They are taking care of him and his mustache."

Reynolds' rep confirmed Saturday that the star's fever broke, "and we believe he should be taken out of ICU very soon."

Most recently, Reynolds has lent his talents to Archer, the offbeat adult animated series on FX, in which he played himself. His breakout performance was Deliverance (1972), and that same year he and his mustache posed naked in Cosmopolitan magazine, forever claiming his status as a sex symbol of the '70s and '80s. He went on to star in Smokey and the Bandit and its sequels, but had a rough time financially after a slew of poor investments and a nasty divorce in 1993.
