Batman V Superman Toys & Wonder Woman Barbie Revealed

The moment that DC-mad kids (and, more than likely, their parents) all over the world have been waiting for is here: behold, the official tie-in toys for next year’s ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.’

USA Today premiered the images of the toys ahead of them going on sale at San Diego Comic Con next week.

With Marvel Studios (the cinematic end, at least) surprising many by sitting out the major fan event this year, it looks like it’s DC’s year to really hog the spotlight. Indeed, this year’s event will mark two years since the superhero face-off (initially scheduled for release this summer) was announced on the SDCC Hall H stage.

Mattel has produced the toys modeled on Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel. Set to be sold as a two-pack, the 6 inch action figures reportedly boast “fabric capes, display bases that combine to form the film’s iconic logo, and lights-and-sounds packaging teasing one of the big moments from the upcoming movie.”

We’re going to go out on a limb and assume that “one of the big moments” means BATMAN AND SUPERMAN FIGHTING. I mean come on, you can’t look at these things without wanting to bash them together.

Mattel have also produced a new Barbie in the likeness of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman - and apparently we can expect Ken doll equivalents of Bats and Supes as well.

And finally, Hot Wheels have produced a die-cast Batmobile, as well as a “Batman v Superman Twin Mill car designed to celebrate the film.” Among the many DC attraction as SDCC will be a life-size replica of the latter Hot Wheels car.

‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ is due in UK cinemas on 25 March 2016.
