Another CAA Agent Defects To UTA, Bringing Total Up To 12

It ain’t over yet. The defections from Creative Artists Agency continued Friday as United Talent Agency confirmed that it has brought another agent into their company. UTA has hired former CAA agent Harold Froget who will be part of the team inside UTA’s comedy and music touring practice division. Froget had spent 11 years — specifically in corporate and private booking — with CAA before exiting. He will now focus on his new agency’s corporate and private events business.

The exodus of agents from CAA to UTA began about a month ago when five agents initially left to become partners — Jason Heyman, Martin Lesak, Gregory McKnight, Greg Cavic, and Nic Nuciforo, and in doing so brought a number of clients with them. Over the ensuing days, there were another six who joined, bringing in even more clients. New to the UTA fold because of the defection of agents from CAA are Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Anna Faris, and George Lopez, to name a few.
