‘American Horror Story,’ ‘Hustle’ Among Publicists Awards Nominees

Hollywood’s union publicists have nominated “American Hustle” (Sony), “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” (Paramount), “American Horror Story: Coven” (20th Century Fox) and “Glee” (20th Century Fox) for the Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showmanship Award for film and TV.

The International Cinematographers Guild will announce the winners at the Publicists 51st annual awards on Feb. 28 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The other movies include “Despicable Me 2″ (Universal), “Gravity” (Warner Bros.), “Saving Mr. Banks” (Walt Disney) and “The Heat” (Fox), while “The Crazy Ones” (20th Century Fox), “The Good Wife” (CBS Television Studios) and “How I Met Your Mother” (20th Century Fox) round out the TV category.

IATSE Local 600 will also present the press, international media, Les Mason (for lifetime achievement) and Bob Yeager (for community service) awards.

Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger, co-chairs of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, will receive the Motion Picture Showmanship Award. Shonda Rhimes will be honored with the TV Showmanship Award and Jerry Lewis will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award.
