Amber Stevens Signs Up For ’22 Jump Street’

Sony has set Amber Stevens to the cast of of sequel “22 Jump Street” starring Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ice Cube.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are returning as directors with a script penned by Michael Bacall and Oren Uziel.

In the sequel to “21 Jump Street,” officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) go deep undercover at a local college, but when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership.

Based on the TV show from Patrick Hasburgh & Stephen J. Cannell, “21 Jump Street” over performed, grossing more than $200 million worldwide.

Hill, Tatum and Neal H. Moritz will produce. Stephen Cannell, Reid Carolin and Brian Bell are exec producing.

Sony is known for both keeping strong relationships with established talent like Adam Sandler and Will Smith and launching the careers of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.

Stevens has already worked with Sony on “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “Fired Up.” She is repped by UTA, Red Baron Management and Felker Toczek.
