15 Highest-Grossing Baseball Films of All Time
Jackie Robinson biopic "42" is poised to be the biggest baseball opener of all time, which is good news for the film since baseball movies aren't usually big moneymakers at the box office. The last one to be released, Clint Eastwood's "Trouble With the Curve," opened to just $12 million last September. The most any has brought in overall is the $107 million domestic total that "A League of Their Own" managed in 1992. And they don't play overseas; the $34 million "Moneyball" took in abroad is by far the most ever.
