Russell Crowe Gets Soaked

UPDATE: Paramount Pictures has released the Super Bowl spot for “Noah” in advance of it airing during the game on Sunday.

The final poster for the bibical epic “Noah" has arrived exclusively here on Yahoo Movies, and as you might imagine, it’s a bit damp.

The striking image features Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, with a long beard and close-cropped hair, standing in the middle of the world’s worst rainstorm. Instead of the robes you might expect, he wears a battered, short-sleeved tunic with pants. His hands are wrapped, and he’s got an axe in his grip.

The movie is a gritty, grounded version of the age-old tale from director Darren Aronofsky (“The Wrestler,” “Black Swan”). In addition to Crowe, the cast features acclaimed actors like Jennifer Connelly (Crowe’s Oscar-winning co-star in “A Beautiful Mind”), Anthony Hopkins, “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson, and Logan Lerman.

“Noah" sails into theaters on March 28.
